Roxana Elena Mihaescu was born in Romania, in 1993. In 2016 she received the B.Sc. Degree in Systems and Technologies in Telecommunications from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), Romania. She participated twice at "Tudor Tanasescu" National Professional Contest: Signals, Circuits and Systems Section, and she won the 2nd place in 2015, and the 1st place in 2016. She also received the Master's Degree in Multimedia Communications in 2018, from the same institution. She started working for the Ph.D. degree with Prof. Constantin Paleologu (supervisor - UPB), since October 2018, on detection and recognition systems using deep neural networks. Her research is focused on machine learning and she is co-author for 10 papers.
