Paper:SPL-04493-2007.R1 Variable Step-Size NLMS
Algorithm for Under-Modeling Acoustic Echo Cancellation
Dear Dr. Paleologu,
We are pleased to inform
you that the above paper has been ACCEPTED for publication
in the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
Please note
the IEEE Signal Processing Letters is going electronic in
2008, and all Accepted manuscripts for the Letters will be
published electronically, rather than in print, with
a cumulative print issue in December.
The IEEE
Signal Processing Letters has a commitment to
deliver valuable technical information to the signal
processing community in a timely manner. To that end, the
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, its editors, and staff are
making every effort to ensure that the submission of
finalized papers not be unduly protracted. We hope you will
assist us by the careful preparation of your final
submission.
To assist publication, ALL of the following
items are REQUIRED to process your paper. Please note that
except if there are exigent circumstances of which you can
notify us in writing in advance, we will expect to receive
your final materials no later than 6 weeks from the date
of this letter.
* NOTE: All hard copy final materials
are to be mailed to Mrs. Deborah Tomaro, and any electronic
final materials are to be e-mailed directly to the
Production Department to spl@ieee.org. Please always
reference your manuscript # on all final materials and on
the Copyright form. -> The Production Department
REQUIRES that you reference your manuscript # and title in
the subject heading of your e-mail to them when sending
your electronic materials.
* ALSO NOTE: Published
papers are to be max 4 pages DOUBLE-column SINGLE-spaced,
point size 10 in print format (which equals 10 pages
SINGLE-column DOUBLE-spaced, point size 11 in draft
format). This 4-page limit, which includes figures and
tables, will be enforced as per the E-i-C. Please
follow the submission standard carefully, per
the guidelines/Information for Authors, found
at http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.htm. It
is highly recommended to submit at least 1 copy of your
hard copy materials in the print format (in addition to the
3 double-spaced required copies), using the templates, to
ensure your paper is 4 or less print pages. Per the
Production Department in regards to final materials
submission, if you use the templates, 10 point is the
standard format for text, and
the abstract/references/captions are typically in 8
point.
Your final manuscript should be prepared
in LaTeX2e or MS Word, and is required to use the style
files established by IEEE, available
at http://www.ieee.org/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.htm
[
] The properly executed IEEE copyright form (hard copy,
printed from
http://www.ieee.org/about/documentation/copyright/), which
is to be included with your mailed hard copy final
materials. Please be sure this form is completed by filling
in the paper title, all author names, the name of the
journal, then sign and date the form. This is a required
document. By policy, IEEE owns the copyright to the
technical contributions it publishes on behalf of the
interests of the IEEE, its authors, and their employers;
and to facilitate the appropriate reuse of this material by
others. To comply with United States copyright law, authors
are required to sign and submit a completed "IEEE Copyright
Transfer Export Control Compliance Form" with
their original submission (AND AGAIN WITH THE FINALIZED
MANUSCRIPT PRIOR TO PUBLICATION).
[ ] Three (3)
SINGLE-column DOUBLE-spaced (1-column) draft format hard
copies in point size 11 of your complete manuscript on
paper, exactly matching your electronic files, and with the
text, abstract and references printed double-spaced (one
full blank line between lines of type). These copies will
be used for comparison at various stages of production and
to resolve questions.
[ ] Two (2) DOUBLE-column
SINGLE-spaced (2-column) print format hard copies of your
final manuscript (4 pages max in point size 10, which is 10
pages in draft format point size 11), with text, abstract,
figures and references SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. This copy will
serve as a confirmation of the approximate
publication length of the manuscript at submission, in that
it does not go beyond 4 pages.
[ ] One (1) copy of
the text of the manuscript in electronic form, following
the guidelines in the `Instructions for Authors,' to the
Production Department via email to spl@ieee.org. Include a
header (essentially, a cover letter or a separate sheet of
paper) to identify this piece as a Signal Processing
Letter, the names and contact information of each author,
and the software used to
format the manuscript.
Guidelines can be found
at: http://www.ieee.org/organizations/society/sp/pub.html
and/or http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.htm)
Illustrations/tables
must be submitted in separate files. See the `Instructions
for Authors' for guidelines on preparing graphics
files.
Send the files by email to spl@ieee.org, or
submit as a CD, 3 1/2 inch disk, or ZIP with the hard copy
materials to Mrs. Deborah Tomaro at
d.tomaro@ieee.org. -> The Production Department REQUIRES
that you reference your manuscript # and title in the
subject heading of your e-mail to them when sending your
electronic materials.
[ ] Separate originals of
artwork/illustrations/tables. Original art will not be
returned. Illustrations will often
be reduced to 7-inch
or 3-1/2-inch widths depending on the size of the
original. The size of the lettering should be no smaller
than 8 point or 8mm after reduction. In order to
be
legible after reduction, it is always preferable that the
lettering be capitalized (except for mathematical
symbols). Ensure that all legends are readable even after
a reduction in size to fit the double-column printing
format. See the `Instructions for Authors' for
details.
[ ] A separate list of figure/table
captions.
[ ] E-mail addresses, telephone and fax
numbers of all authors via a header/cover letter/separate
sheet of paper.
Please send the requested hard copy
materials to: IEEE - Signal Processing Society Signal
Processing Letters/Deborah Tomaro 445 Hoes
Lane Piscataway, NJ 08854, USA
(For Express Mail,
the telephone number for the airbill is +1 732 562
5599.)
When I am in receipt of the above required
materials, you will receive an e-mailed confirmation, and
your materials will be forwarded to the production staff.
Once you are scheduled for an issue, which is based on our
current queue, you will be informed of your publication
date and when you can expect to receive galley proofs.
Galley proofs will come directly from our Production
Department (spl@ieee.org), and will be available around the
time the manuscript is scheduled for publication.
Therefore, if you have any questions regarding these
galley proofs once you've been notified of your pub date,
please contact them directly.
* If you have any
questions regarding the reviews, please contact the
Associate Editor who managed your paper.
Inquiries regarding the submission of your final electronic
materials should be directed to the Production Department
at spl@ieee.org. All other inquiries should be directed to
the Coordinator managing this journal, Deborah
Tomaro.
Best regards, Prof. Vesa Valimaki
